A visit to Terrigal - 15 minutes - gives you a touch of sophistication with the wonderful 5 star Crowne Plaza hotel sitting right on the beach.  Beach Deck serves lunch and entertainment.  Hotel Restaurant overlooks the Beach.  Many other restaurants and Sydney standard Shopping is available here (At better prices), Great coffee bars. Also paddle boats on the nearby lake for children.

An hour’s drive will bring you right in the Hunter Valley Wine area. A great stopover for a wine trip.

GOSFORD - BRISBANE WATERS

Gosford nearby is set on the Brisbane Waters and many boat trips can be made.
The famous now Iguana Jones Restaurant and nightclub sits on the shores of the Bay.
Visit also the famous Fish Restaurant at Woy Woy famous for the Pelicans which come right up to the seafront verandah restaurant.

There are many golf courses, world standard, and tennis, ten pin bowling, and minigolf nearby. Also a short drive brings you to Matcham Valley. A lot like the wonderful hinterland near Byron. Horse riding tracks and walks are available right up the nearby Mount Elliott.
